NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuters) – North Face clothing brand owner VF Corp’s (VFC.N) purchase of Timerberland Co TBL.N, known for its iconic yellow work boots, gives it uggs 5225 cheap a major leg up on the competition, according to financial weekly Barron’s.
VF’s shares closed at $102.80 on Friday and could rally to $120 or more in the next 18 months, assuming the deal adds to earnings as VF expects, the paper said.

It is paying a 43 percent premium to Timberland’s closing price the last trading day before the deal was announced.

Timberland is expected to boost VF’s outdoor business, expand its overseas presence, add 25 cents a share to earnings this year and perhaps 75 cents next year, according to VF management.
